Darrell N. Fiske, MD

Dr. Fiske is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by NBPAS (The National Board of Physicians & Surgeons) and is a fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He is a member of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research. He is an active clinical trialist with over 200 phase I through phase IV clinical trials in many different therapeutic areas. He earned his medical degree and postdoctoral training at the University of Florida and also carries a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals. He has a special interest in osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases. He enjoys sports, distance running, hiking, gardening and reading. He has completed 8 marathons including the Boston Marathon.

John M. Houri, MD

Dr. Houri is a board-certified specialist in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and holds a distinguished fellowship with the American College of Rheumatology. With a rich background in academic medicine, he previously served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and as Chief of Rheumatology at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.

Dr. Houri earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine, where he also completed a program in pharmacy, earning a BS in Pharmacy. His contributions to the field include publishing research in peer-reviewed medical journals, particularly on lupus, and he has participated in over 200 clinical trials focused on new medications and treatments.

In addition to his professional expertise, Dr. Houri is passionate about long-distance running. He has completed several prestigious marathons, including the Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon, and Paris Marathon.

Dr. Houri is married and a proud father of two children. He remains committed to advancing rheumatologic care through both clinical practice and research while maintaining a balanced life with his family and athletic pursuits.

 

W. David Craig, DO

Dr. Craig is a distinguished, board certified rheumatologist with over 24 years of experience in providing exceptional care to his patients. He earned his Bachelor of Science from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee and his Medical Degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Dr. Craig completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia in 1995.

As a dedicated member of several professional organizations, Dr. Craig is affiliated with the American College of Rheumatology, American College of Physicians, Tennessee Medical Association, Tennessee Rheumatology Society, and a member of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Craig enjoys traveling, biking, and spending quality time with his family. He is married with three adult children and delights in the time he spends with his grandchildren.

 

Devin M. Weidman, MSN, APRN-C

Devin Weidman has been a dedicated Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Rheumatology Associates since 2002. With board certification and advanced training, she specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatologic diseases, as well as providing preventive care and health maintenance.

She earned her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Florida in 2000, following nine years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting. Devin is an active member of the Rheumatology Nursing Society and the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, and she proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Rheumatology Nursing Society.

Devin excels in performing physical exams, arthritis assessments, and administering trigger point and joint injections. Known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach, she takes the time to listen to her patients and works collaboratively to create personalized care plans that meet their healthcare goals.

Devin is available for routine follow-ups, urgent consultations, and is often able to accommodate same-day appointments when needed.

Outside of her professional life, Devin and her husband, both natives of Martin County, are proud parents to three children. She enjoys reading, boating, and running, and completed her first marathon in March 2021. She continues to train for future races.

 

Alana Howe, APRN

Alana Howe is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Rheumatology Associates, specializing in the care of patients with musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indian River State College and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in West Palm Beach, becoming board certified after eight years as a registered nurse.

A member of Sigma Theta Tau since 2018, Alana is passionate about advancing her expertise and also serves as an adjunct instructor at Indian River State College of Nursing. She takes a patient-centered approach, focusing on building strong relationships and providing evidence-based care for individuals with chronic conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Originally from Martin County, Alana is married with one daughter and enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She is excited to join the team at Rheumatology Associates to offer exceptional care to patients.
